En la serie “DTF St. Louis”, la detective Jodie Plumb explica a su colega Donoghue Homer que la imagen que observan en una revista de desnudos no es necesariamente pornográfica, señalando que, aunque sea explícita, no hay acción ni una intención evidente de excitar, sino una composición pensada para ser mirada de otra manera. El debate sobre la esencia de la imagen porno y su diferencia ontológica –o no- con el arte recorre esta nueva edición de nuestro ciclo “Conversaciones de Trastienda”.

 

In the series DTF St. Louis, detective Jodie Plumb explains to her colleague Donoghue Homer that the image they are looking at in a nude magazine is not necessarily pornographic, pointing out that, although it is explicit, there is neither action nor an evident intention to arouse, but rather a composition intended to be viewed in a different way. The debate surrounding the essence of the pornographic image and its ontological difference—or lack thereof—from art runs through this new edition of our “Backroom Conversations” series.
