Leonardo Cavalcante raspa el vidrio con la precisión de quien intenta abrir una fisura en la transparencia de un potencial mundo. Sus pinturas emergen de un proceso de sustracción, donde la luz queda atrapada en la huella del gesto, en la fricción del metal contra el color opaco. Lo que se revela no es solo imagen, sino atmósfera: un umbral donde la sombra y el resplandor configuran un espacio intermedio, como si cada figura flotara en la tenue frontera entre la aparición y la desaparición.

 

Leonardo Cavalcante scrapes the glass with the precision of someone trying to open a fissure in the transparency of a potential world. His paintings emerge from a process of subtraction, where light is trapped in the trace of the gesture, in the friction of metal against opaque color. What is revealed is not just an image, but an atmosphere: a threshold where shadow and radiance shape an intermediate space, as if each figure floated on the faint boundary between appearance and disappearance.
