“Obsesiones de lo íntimo” reúne artistas que hacen del cuerpo y, en particular, de su cuerpo un campo de investigación, de experimentación, es decir: el cuerpo como (una) materia para pensar.
En las investigaciones íntimas de Sofía Fanego, Daniel Juarez, Matías Maroevic, Lulú Jankilevich, Roció Muy Bien y Rodrigo Reinoso, las obsesiones son la caja de herramientas para conocerse, inventarse y/o soñarse. Con superposiciones y texturas, surgen alianzas más románticas que políticas entre la piel y la naturaleza, entre el papel y la aguja, entre la carne y la soga. Y cuando en esta búsqueda surge lo tecnológico (como en el trabajo de Rodrigo Reinoso, por ejemplo), le tuerce el brazo para apropiarse de su ser.
“Intimate obsessions” gathers artists that make of the body and, specially, of their bodies a field of exploration and experimentation, that is to say: the body like (a) matter to reflect on.
In the intimate researches of Sofia Fanego, Daniel Juarez, Matías Maroevic, Lulú Jankilevich, Rocío Muy Bien y Rodrigo Reinoso, obsessions are tools box to self-knowledge, to recreate and/or dream themselves. Through overlapping and textures, alliances more romantic than political are forged, between skin and nature, between paper and needle, between meat and rope. And when, in this search, the technological arises (as, for example, in the work of Rodrigo Reinoso), it twists its arm to take its essence.
